Nicole is passionate about helping people. Her aim is to help people identify their underlying problems and to work towards the abilities, talents, and power that each person has. As a counsellor, Nicole maintains Person-Centred and Integrative approaches. She considers the therapeutic relationship between herself and the client to be a vital tool for their work together.
Nicole draws from different therapeutic approaches as appropriate; however, her work is grounded upon respect and positive regard for the client. Client input and feedback are a central part of Nicole’s work, and they are both very welcome.
Experience
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Nicole is a counsellor with expertise in a vast range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, suicide ideation, partnership, family relationships, self-esteem, confidence, and loneliness, to name a few. Nicole is also an outstanding Motivational Interviewing Therapist (MIT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapist (DBT). She also provides a clinical treatment which has been made as an outcome of Joel Reiter and Donna Andrews research epileptic/non-epileptic seizures. Based on their findings they developed a 12 weeks program for NES patients, which will give them the ability to take control over the physical symptoms such as non-epileptic seizures. Finally, she uses art therapy and play therapy mainly with children and adolescents.
